My Fridays are dedicated to learning new essential oil facts, trying new essential oil recipes, and blogging about my Young Living essential oils. Today, I decided to whip up a batch of my DIY on-the-go hand cleanser and share the recipe with you. This stuff is perfect for keeping your hands clean when you are unable to wash them with good ol’ soap and water. There are a lot of variations out there so feel free to tweak this essential oil recipe to your liking.
Ingredients and Directions:
- 2 Tablespoons pure aloe vera. Aloe vera conditions and hydrates the skin.
- 1 Tablespoon witch hazel. Witch hazel makes a great skin soother and cleanser. You can buy witch hazel that does not contain alcohol.
- 1/4 teaspoon vitamin E oil. Vitamin E oil acts as a preservative. It also has skin moisturizing properties.
- 10 drops of your favorite Young Living essential oil (adjust the amount per your preference). I chose to use Young Living’s Purification essential oil blend. The bonus is that it comes in the Premium Starter Kit!
I combined everything a 2 ounce glass pump bottle I found at my favorite health store – these look like an exact match. Shake and use as needed for an on-the-go hand cleanser.
